Loop Four After striding back to our vehicles for a midnight break, we started anew into the darkness for Loop Four Loop Four’s far point, and our indoor rest stop on this loop, was an all night King Soopers northwest of Chatfield Then, we planned on reaching the Aspen Grove Starbucks for their opening at 6 AM Now, it’s getting tough... |

5:50 AM; Mile 71 The deepest hours droned, including a frigid crossing of the entire Chatfield Dam, where the wind blew across the large body of ice before finding every crack in our clothes Ever eager, we arrived at Starbucks 10 minutes early, but they wouldn’t let us in |

5:52 AM Trying to stay warm, Gerry went shopping at the nearby Apple store, but alas, it too was closed |

5:57 AM The darkest hour Nothing to do but wait for Starbucks to let us in Three minutes to go |
